SECURING YOUR HIGH CUBE CONTAINER
Securing your high cube container is critical to prevent theft, tampering, and cargo loss. Here are actionable methods to ensure your cargo remains safe.
HARDWARE AND LOCKS
Invest in high-quality hardware and locks designed for high cube containers. Look for locks with a high security rating, such as those certified by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Here are some essential hardware options:
– **Padlocks**: Use ANSI-rated padlocks to secure the container’s doors and hinges. Ensure they are at least 12mm thick and have a high security rating.
– **Bolt Locks**: Install bolt locks on the container’s doors and hinges. These locks provide an additional layer of security and are less prone to tampering.
– **Chain and Cable Locks**: Use heavy-duty chain and cable locks to secure the container’s doors and hinges. These locks are tamper-evident and can deter theft.
– **Seal Locks**: Install seal locks on the container’s doors and hinges. These locks provide a tamper-evident seal and can help prevent unauthorized access.
SEALING AND TAMPER-EVIDENT DEVICES
Sealing and tamper-evident devices are essential for preventing unauthorized access and ensuring the integrity of your cargo. Here are some effective options:
– **Seal Tapes**: Use high-quality seal tapes to secure the container’s doors and hinges. Ensure the tapes are tamper-evident and can provide a clear indication of any unauthorized access.
– **Seal Wires**: Install seal wires on the container’s doors and hinges. These wires provide a tamper-evident seal and can help prevent unauthorized access.
– **Seal Plates**: Install seal plates on the container’s doors and hinges. These plates provide a tamper-evident seal and can help prevent unauthorized access.
MONITORING AND TRACKING
Monitoring and tracking your high cube container can help you detect any unauthorized access or tampering. Here are some effective methods:
– **GPS Tracking**: Install a GPS tracking device on your high cube container. This device can provide real-time location data and help you monitor the container’s movements.
– **RFID Tags**: Install RFID tags on your cargo. These tags can provide real-time location data and help you monitor the cargo’s movements.
– **Video Surveillance**: Install video surveillance cameras on your high cube container. These cameras can provide real-time footage and help you detect any unauthorized access or tampering.
SECURING THE CARGO
Securing your cargo is essential to prevent theft, tampering, and loss. Here are some effective methods:
– **Pallet Locks**: Use pallet locks to secure your cargo to the pallets. These locks can prevent cargo from shifting or falling and can deter theft.
– **Strapping**: Use heavy-duty strapping to secure your cargo to the pallets and the container. Ensure the strapping is tamper-evident and can provide a clear indication of any unauthorized access.
– **Anti-Theft Devices**: Install anti-theft devices on your cargo. These devices can deter theft and can help prevent cargo loss.
INSURANCE
